We are Scientists
We are learning. We are growing. We are Falkland.
At Falkland, we know that children are natural scientists due to their inquisitive minds. We aim to provide children with the opportunity to understand and explore the world around them, stimulate their natural curiosity to explore why things happen in the way they do and teach methods of enquiry and investigation. Through our science curriculum, we teach and develop the explorative skills of questioning, observing, testing and evaluating. These are valuable transferable skills which allow all children to succeed as effective, independent learners and problem solvers. By providing children with a range of opportunities to actively carry out scientific enquiries, we ensure that working scientifically is at the heart of our curriculum. Children learn to ask scientific questions and can begin to appreciate the way in which science will affect the future on a personal, national and global level.
